None of Us is as Smart as All of Us

In a response to a recent post, Carlos (username: ortizbazurto) noted a clinical trial that I neglected to comment on.  I’ll write a separate post about that next.  First, I wanted to give a shout out to Carlos, and to others who have brought new topics or gaps in my discussion to my attention, or provided helpful suggestions for future topics.  Although I try to stay informed and up to date, no single person can be familiar with the details of every study or drug or new bit of information.  I can learn a lot from other folks here, since you’re all doing everything you can to learn about the nuances of lung cancer, and I know I’m not the only source.  So please do bring new information for me to incorporate, or that refutes my conclusions. I have a big enough ego that I can take it.  I didn’t want to start a website just to talk to myself.

Along a similar theme, Chanwit added some commentary in a recent discussion thread, stating that he “couldn’t resist a reply”.  I want to encourage people to add their comments and hope people don’t feel any need to resist.  I’m happy to be as much of a resource as I can be in my posts and discussions, but I don’t want to chase anyone off the stage.  It’s open mike night, so please share whatever comments and insights and experience you’ve got that can help.  As the Japanese proverb goes, “None of us is as smart as all of us”.
