Technical Difficulties with OncTalk? Talk to me…

technical difficulties

Carlos, one of the many members here who has several insightful comments and questions, e-mailed me to say that he was having trouble entering a comment in response to a recent post (on Xyotax).  We’re trying to fix the problem (and when I say we, I mean the technical guys who are helping me to get the site to function as you and I would like).   I’m glad he mentioned it, because I never would have known.  I have no idea if this is a one-time weird thing that just happened with him, or whether other people have been having problems entering post comments or starting forum topics or responding to discussion threads.

Please let me know through e-mail (west@onctalk.com) if you are having trouble with any aspects of the site, or if you have an idea of what would make it better.  There’s a great chance that having more people describe problems will help us identify where the glitches are.  I want things to run perfectly, but I’m sure they won’t always, but we can’t fix what we don’t know about.  It’s not an imposition if you highlight what needs to be fixed.

Anyway, I’ve had my share of little things, but I presume that they’re all related to my funky laptop and the latest questionable but mandatory system update I was forced to download from microsoft.  But if I find out that there’s a lot of the same glitch going around, it’s probably a real problem, and then we’ll deal with it.  So let me know if something’s not working for you.  Other people may be experiencing the same problem. Or if things are perfect and you’re just ecstatic with how great the site is, I’ll welcome those comments too.

I haven’t been around here very long, but things seem to work fine for me. Just thought I’d post this comment to see if it goes through. And to say thank you for what you do here - I’ve read through a lot of the info and posts and have found it very helpful.

Great. I am always happy to hear when things are going RIGHT, and that people find things helpful. Just keep in mind that the suggestion box is open.
